About Mark

Mark is a Colorado Springs native and life-long resident. He attended District 11 and 20 schools, graduating from Rampart High School in 1988.  Mark completed his BA in Geography and Environmental Studies at UCCS.

Mark is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army and Air Force Reserve, deploying in support of operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. He earned the Air Medal in 2005.

Mark has been working for the El Paso County Assessor’s Office since 1995. He has served as a real estate appraiser in the residential, land, and commercial sections, working his way up to Chief Appraiser and Deputy Assessor.  Mark is a licensed Certified General Appraiser with the State of Colorado.
